Verses and Reports on Allah’s Position Above His Throne

Introduction

The Quran is an amazing book that contains verses that teach us about Allah’s position above His throne, and our place in the universe. Today, we’ll be exploring some of the verses in the Quran that speak about Allah’s position, above us. 📖

The angels and the Spirit

One of the most powerful verses in the Quran about Allah’s position is found in Surah al-Ma’arij, 70:4, where it says, “The angels and the Spirit (Gabriel) ascend up to Him in a day whose length is like fifty thousand years.” This verse tells us that Allah is above, and that the angels and the Spirit ascend. 🕊️

Good sayings go up

In Surah Fatir 35:10, it says, “Every good saying goes up to Him.” This means that Allah is above and that He is aware of everything we say and do, and that all of our actions are ultimately accountable to Him. 👀

Pharaoh’s arrogance and Allah’s power

Surah Ghafir, 40:36-37, talks about Pharaoh’s desire to reach the heavens to see the God of Moses. Pharaoh said, “Oh Haamaan, build a lofty place for me that I may attain the ways. The ways of (reaching) the heavens for me to behold the God of Moses, for I certainly believe he is a liar.” Even Pharaoh seems to have understood that Allah is above. This verse also serves as a warning against the dangers of pride and arrogance and reminds us that Allah is the only true God. 💪

Allah’s guidance through His prophets and messengers

In Surah al-Nahl, 16:102, we read about the Holy Spirit bringing down the revelation to guide and strengthen believers. It says, “Say, the Holy Spirit has brought it (the revelation) down from your Lord in truth, in order to strengthen those who believe, and as a guide and glad tidings to Muslims.” 🌟

Allah is above all of His creations

In Surah al-An’aam, Allah is described as “al-Qaahir (the irresistible) above His worshippers.” This verse highlights that Allah is above all of His creations and that nothing can resist His power and authority. 🔝

The angels constantly working to serve Allah

In Sahih al-Bukhari, we read about the angels staying with us at night and daytime, gathering together at prayer times, and ascending to Allah with reports about us. This hadith also reminds us that Allah is aware of all of our actions and that the angels are constantly working to serve Him.

Allah’s position above His throne

In Sahih al-Bukhari, Allah speaks of His mercy when He says, “When Allaah completed creation, He wrote in a Book (which He kept) with Him above His throne, ‘Verily My mercy will precede my anger.” This report highlights the idea that Allaah is above His throne and that Allah’s mercy is greater than His anger and that He is always willing to forgive us if we repent and seek His forgiveness. 💖

The importance of recognizing Allah’s position above us

In a hadith collected by Muslim, we read about a servant girl who was slapped by her master. When the master came to the Prophet Muhammad (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) to seek advice, the Prophet asked the girl where Allah was. She replied, “Above the sky.” The Prophet then asked her who he was, and she replied, “You are Allah’s Messenger.” The Prophet declared her a true believer and ordered her to be freed. This hadith emphasizes the importance of recognizing Allah’s position above us and the importance of treating all people with kindness and respect. 🤲

Allah’s intimate knowledge of His creations

In Surah Qaf 50:16, Allah says, “Verily, We created man and know what his soul whispers, for We are closer to him than his jugular vein.” This verse highlights Allah’s intimate knowledge of His creations and emphasizes that He is always aware of our thoughts and actions, despite being high above us. 💭

Acting with honesty and sincerity

In Surah al-Baqarah, 2:77, Allah reminds us that He knows what we hide and what we expose, despite how high above He is from us. Allaah says, “Don’t they realize that Allaah knows what they hide and what they expose.” This verse emphasizes that Allah is always aware of our actions and intentions and that we should always strive to act with honesty and sincerity. 👍

Conclusion

In summary, these Quranic verses remind us of Allah’s position above His throne, His power, mercy, and guidance. As Muslims, we should always turn to Allah for guidance, seek His forgiveness, and strive to follow His teachings in all aspects of our lives. Even though Allaah is high above us, on His throne, He knows and sees all things. Remember that Allah is always watching over us, and that our actions and intentions are always accountable to Him. We should always strive to act with sincerity, treat others with kindness and respect, and work towards creating unity and brotherhood. By following Allah’s guidance, we can live a fulfilling and purposeful life in this world and the next. ❤️
